How long have you wanted to start a coaching business helping others succeed?

After working in corporate america for 15 years, I attended a training session about life fulfillment and happiness. That was my turning point. I realized I needed to follow my passion for coaching and training others. For the next year I contemplated leaving that guaranteed paycheck, and I finally took that leap. It's been a year now and I couldn't have had the success I've had without the support of Mike and Brian Litman at Total Coach. They are creative with their marketing techniques which serve as magnets for new clients.

What challenges were you having getting started?

My first challenge was tapping into the corporate market. They're never in a hurry to make a decision and I had bills to pay. Then I realized there is so much potential in the public sector. I refocused the direction of my business, and the clients started to pour in.

What big and small victories have you accomplished since joining Total Coach?

Thanks to Total Coach, I created my first DVD ("How to Conquer Fear of Public Speaking"). I've sold a ton of them. Mike and Brian taught us that success comes from MULTIPLE income streams. They encouraged me to focus on the pig picture. I have two public speaking Meetup groups up and running (NJ and NY) and each month more and more participants show up!

Describe how these victories have made you feel

These wins confirm my decision to branch out of Corporate America. I'll always be an Entrepreneur. I'm following my passion, while making a difference in many lives.

Why are you in this business?

8 years ago I made a commitment to conquer my fear of public speaking. Since I know how it felt, I now make a living helping others achieve this milestone of not letting fear get in the way of their personal and professional goals. Instead of dreading public speaking, with the right coaching they look forward to their next speech :)

How long have you wanted to start a coaching business helping others succeed?

I started thinking about it 5 years ago. Having been through a severe burn-out in 2000, I had started to work from home as a Graphic Designer. But I felt there had to be more in life. I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I had come to realize that making business online was the best way to reach out to millions of people while working from home and taking care of my family's needs. The possibility of automation, where you have a 24 hour-day presence without having to be there yourself was very attractive.

What challenges were you having getting started?

Finding the right niche was a great challenge. There is so much contradiction on what a good niche might be. I wanted to do something I cared about. Another big challenge was the tech part. When I tried to get into action, I keep trying different things... something else, and then something else. Since every new thing lead to more questions that were left unanswered, I ended up scattered, discouraged and with no clarity about I why I should keep moving forward on this journey.

In 2007, after 3 years of trying, I called it quits. The frustration was at its peak. It was too hard. And my family had suffered enough. I decided to move on with my life. I can't tell you how painful that decision.

And then in 2009, I received an email from Mike Litman about Total Coach. My first reaction was to brush it off... been there done that. But finally I decided to join... just to see.

What big and small victories have you accomplished since joining Total Coach?

Finding a niche I'm comfortable with. As a perfectionist, my biggest victory was to get things going even if they weren't perfect. With Total Coach my site was up in less than an hour and I had my squeeze page 10 minutes later. I made my first video. I created the basis of a 12-week program.

And all of this was possible because Total Coach took the roadblocks away. In Total Coach I have people to answer my questions, give me a plan of action, and hold me accountable. The whole process takes the mystery out of it all, because everything is one place and made simple.

The weekly trainings teach me what I need to know and who I need to be to succeed. And because I am in action, I can apply this knowledge right away.

Describe how these victories have made you feel

I feel more confident. I feel like I can do this because of what I've already done. I feel I can take action, even if I don't have all the answers yet, as Total Coach has all the answers I need. I don't procrastinate like I used to.

I follow Total Coach's system, stay in action and push through. I feel I am in good hands. If I don't know what the next step is, Mike, Brian, or another fellow coach will tell me what comes next. I am part of a community. I am not alone in my studio any more.

Why are you in this business?

I believe we were all created to "express" something with our lives... that we can be a blessing to others. Helping people learn to "express" who they are and what makes them so special is for me a worthy and inspiring goal.
